A Peaceful Alien Civilization from Trianguli Australis

The Star System: Beta Atria and the Planet Svokk

The Smad come from a planet they call Svokk, located in the Beta Atria star system within the constellation of Trianguli Australis. This system consists of three planets, each with an environment extremely hostile to life in general, making survival challenging and pushing the Smad to adapt over time.

Physical Appearance and Genetic Challenges

Though the Smad resemble humans in form, they have distinct facial features unique to their race. However, their population is currently in decline. This reduction is due to extensive genetic interbreeding with incompatible races, as well as the deteriorating environmental conditions on Svokk. They have two genders and are oviparous (egg-laying), though they are not classified as reptiloids.

A Culture of Peace: The Pacifist Smad

The Smad are known for their commitment to peace and their pacifist philosophy. Despite having colonized around twenty worlds, they have never resorted to force. Their explorations and settlements are based on curiosity and mutual respect. They lack any rigid dogmatic beliefs, which contributes to their open-minded interest in various cultures and systems.

The Smad’s Interest in Terra and Religious Evolution

The Smad discovered Terra (Earth) approximately 2,500 years ago. Fascinated by human evolution, particularly in the realm of religious beliefs, they have since closely observed Earth’s religious development. Their lack of strict beliefs makes them deeply curious about Terran spiritual and religious systems.

Recent Developments: Membership in the Galactic Federation of Worlds

Recently, the Smad were welcomed as members of the Galactic Federation of Worlds (GFW). This acceptance reflects their peaceful nature and respect for other civilizations, as well as their non-invasive approach to exploration and settlement.

The Smad Spacecraft: Conical Design and Limited Numbers

The Smad’s spacecraft are notably conical in shape, with only six remaining in existence. This limited fleet signifies the race’s cautious approach to space travel, and perhaps also the challenges they face due to their declining population and resources.
