In March, Creation Entertainment brought back their traditional of regional Star Trek conventions with “STSF: Trek To San Francisco.” Since then, they’ve have held regional events in Chicago and Nashville, and in November they head to New Jersey and Dallas, Texas with a lineup of Star Trek luminaries, with more “Trek Tour” events already lined up for 2025.
These regional conventions deliver on the Star Trek stars and panels, but offer a more intimate experience than the big annual ST-LV event in Las Vegas—and lower admission prices, too: One-day passes range from $20-$35.
Trek to New Jersey: November 8-10
The next Creation regional con is ST-NJ in New Jersey for the weekend of November 8-10, at the Meadowlands Exposition Center. Guests include Anson Mount, Jeri Ryan, Ethan Peck, Doug Jones, Gates McFadden, Brent Spiner, Melissa Navia, Christina Chong, Celia Rose Gooding, Cirroc Lofton, Dawnn Lewis, Jonathan Frakes, Jeffrey Combs, Michael Dorn, Marina Sirtis, Michelle Hurd, Jess Bush, Tawny Newsome, Terry Farrell, Todd Stashwick, and more.
TrekMovie talked to Creation’s Ryan T. Husk (who is also an on-stage moderator, as well as cohost of The 7th Rule podcast) about what to expect. He told us that they’ve already booked dozens of guests, and that they’re a lot more active within the show, giving it a smaller community feel.
“Let’s say Celia Rose Gooding or somebody like that might have her panel on Saturday, but then she’ll also do the Dungeons & Dragons panel on Sunday evening. That’s another thing that’s very different about these regionals, the specific kinds of shows, like the D&D show. We tried it out at STLV, and now that’s something that we’re just doing at all these regionals. We also have a game show coming up in New Jersey and Dallas, which will be a lot of fun.”
Husk also noted that they plan to do unmoderated panels with some of the stars, having tested the waters with those in Las Vegas and finding them successful, adding to that smaller community feel.
Bonnie Gordon (Star Trek: Prodigy) will be hosting the costume contest on Saturday, and additional panels & events will include a concert with the Rat Pack (Max Grodénchik, Casey Biggs, and Vaughn Armstrong), a wine tasting with Casey Biggs, the Coolwaters Celebrity Game Show, an afterparty featuring a Vic’s Lounge-style performance by Bonnie Gordon, a karaoke party, NASA panels, and more.
Tickets from single-day General Admission to Gold Convention Packages are still available. There are also also hotel rooms available at the special convention rate. For more info visit creation.com.
Trek to Dallas: November 15-17
After New Jersey comes Trek to Dallas, taking place at the Marriott Dallas Allen Hotel in Allen, Texas. Headliners include Anson Mount, Ethan Peck, Sonequa Martin-Green, and Doug Jones, along with cast members from Lower Decks, Voyager, Enterprise, Strange New Worlds, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: The Original Series, and Picard.
Here is a video of Sonequa Martin-Green talking up the regional events and announcing she will be in Dallas:
Just like in New Jersey, the Rat Pack will perform, plus there will be a game show, a trivia contest, a costume contest, and karaoke will be hosted by Connor Trinneer and Dominic Keating.

More regional cons in 2025 and beyond
These regional conventions are a return to a tradition for Creation Entertainment, which began running Star Trek conventions in the 1970s. At its peak in the ’80s, Creation was operating over 100 Trek cons every year all across the USA. That number was pared down until the most recent decade when they focused on a single big “STLV” Star Trek con every year in Las Vegas. That all changed this year and the plan is to keep going next year.
A few Creation conventions already have dates locked in for 2025. Here is what is already on th books for regional events next year:
- San Francisco, California: January 24-26 at the Hyatt Regency SFO Airport Hotel.
- Orlando, Florida: August 22-24 at the Doubletree by Hilton Universal Orlando
- Charlotte, North Carolina: October 24-26
As for the big STLV event in Trek Las Vegas, that returns to the Rio, running 5 days from August 6-10. More dates and cities may still be added.
