The Akart of Epsilon Sextans

Origin and Habitat

The Akart, also known as the Akarit, originate from the planet Okunuu Okulua in the Epsilon Sextans star system, located within the Sextans constellation. This star system consists of three planets, with Okunuu Okulua being the home of the Akart race.

Physical Characteristics and Society

The Akart are a small grey-type species distinguished by three crest-like protuberances on their foreheads and large dark eyes. They live in a patriarchal society with two genders. Females generally do not travel unless they belong to the upper scientific class, in which case they often forgo having families. As cold-blooded beings, they lay eggs, typically one per pregnancy, and a female Akart can lay up to six eggs during her lifespan. Their lifespan is slightly longer than that of Terrans, typically by a decade or two.

Education and Technology

Akart society places a high value on the education of their offspring, with both males and females receiving similar education. However, females focus more on developing psychic powers. Their technology, while not among the most advanced in the federation, includes the capability for interdimensional or astral travel. This unique method of travel involves transferring their light being and incarnated bodies without any clothing or non-corporeal objects, which is why interdimensional ship crews are often unisex.

Dietary Habits and Behavior

The Akart are carnivorous, consuming flesh as their primary diet. They typically wear clothes, but not during interdimensional travel due to their unique method of travel. Despite their curiosity, they are not inclined towards pacifism, exhibiting nervous and impulsive behaviors.

Interactions with Terra

The Akart rarely visit Terra, as they come from a distant part of the galaxy. They do not engage in abductions and maintain a curious yet cautious approach towards interactions with other species.

Technological Aspects

Their ships are oval and made of grey metallic material with no windows. When taking off for interdimensional leaps, the ships glow with a very high temperature, which can scorch the ground beneath them.
