It’s not every day that you get any mainstream media news about UFOs, UAPs, or Aliens. So this is a truly big deal.
On July 26, 2023, retired Maj. David Grusch claimed that the United States government has had a secret program for decades focused on retrieval and reverse-engineering UFOs. The claims were made in a House Oversight subcommittee.
David Grusch is a former Air Force intelligence officer whose claims have been denied by the Pentagon. He also claimed that the U.S. has most likely been aware of what he called, “non-human activity” at least as far back as the 1930’s and even that non-human biological matter had been recovered from alleged crash sites.
I was informed in the course of my official duties of a multi-decade UAP crash retrieval and reverse engineering program to which I was denied access.
It’s difficult to explain how much I respect pilots and other high ranking government officials when they come forward about topics like this. For many, it’s career suicide, and yet due to their profession, they’re uniquely positioned to actually give the best quality information about UAPs.
A Rare Moment for both the UFO Community and Politics
Unlike most modern political actions in the United States government, this hearing was remarkably bi-partisan with both Republicans and Democrats appearing to cooperate during Mr. Grusch’s whistleblower session.
Representatives from both parties seemed to agree that there simply isn’t enough transparency in these research initiatives for UAPs.
Maj. David Grusch Had a Lot to Say, but Little to Show for It
Some news outlets pointed out that Grusch didn’t come to the meeting with any real evidence. In fact, while he spoke of many ‘out of this world’ topics, he didn’t have photos, videos, or any other hard evidence to support the claims.
It’s also worth noting that Maj. Grusch didn’t actually see any of the things he testified to; his claims were limited to interviews he allegedly had with real witnesses.
Now, there was also a classified meeting to which some of these things may have been addressed, but we don’t know and can’t speculate with any confidence as to what was said or shown behind a closed-door session.

What Does it Mean for People Who Follow UAPs & Possible Extraterrestrial Activity?
The story of military personnel coming forward to tell their story while the government does nothing but deny it all is a tale as old as UFO research itself. Throughout history, countless brave individuals from various branches of the military have risked their careers and reputations to shed light on their extraordinary encounters with unidentified flying objects. However, amidst this well-known narrative, there are some striking and noteworthy distinctions that set this account apart, making it more compelling and thought-provoking.
First of all, the fact that this happened in a House Oversight subcommittee tells me there’s gotta be some element of truth to this… unless of course, it’s a complex misinformation campaign and we’re expected to get hooked on the story. But in general, crazy people don’t just get an entire afternoon to take up the time of a congressional house unless there’s something tangible to the matter. There isn’t any evidence of that either way, so I’m going to go with my gut that Maj. Grusch really did find people who told him some pretty fantastic stories. The legitimacy of those stories is up in the air because until we know who he talked to, we cannot automatically assume they’re as credible as he is.
In addition to that, I found his hesitance to use the term “alien” or “extraterrestrial” to be telling in the idea that he’s really trying to not make assumptions about things he doesn’t know with a 100% certainty. That in and of itself, is a mark of a credible witness.
Finally, like most highly credible personalities, Maj. Grusch really stand nothing to gain by making up such a story. In fact, he stands much more to lose and it seems that his whistleblowing might actually be a bid to protect himself from harm. A similar claim was made by Robert Lazar, that the reason he went public was because he thought the government would kill him, and going public might offer up some protection.
Wrapping it Up
I don’t think we’ve heard the last of David Grusch, in fact I hope we hear quite a bit more in the coming months & years. That being said, I’m very cautious about the fact that all of his statements about what the U.S. is doing and what they’ve found were second-hand. It could be as simple as a bunch of people playing a joke on him and telling him outlandish stories to see how far it will go. Or… it could be that all the claims are true and the United States has been involved in studying non-human technology and even working with non-human entities.
Only time will tell where the truth lies, but I’m confident we’re one step closer to finding out.
