Haim Eshed, Israel’s Former Space Security Chief, Says Aliens Exist

Story

During an interview with an Israeli newspaper, Haim Eshed, the former head of Israel’s Defense Ministry’s space directorate claimed that aliens exist and the US and Israeli governments have been in contact with them.

Going even a step further, Eshed stated that the United States has a contract or treaty allowing the extraterrestrials to perform experiments on the earth and that human and alien representatives are working together in a secret underground base on Mars.

The story has been reported on mainstream news outlets from NBC to CNN. The clip from NBC is below.

What to Make of This Claim?

Haim Eshed definitely worked in a position where he would be in the know if this claim were true. But it’s easy to be suspicious of such a wild claim especially when there are no corroborating individuals.

So is it possible to confirm the validity of such a story definitively? Probably not, but it’s still worth the discussion. So let’s talk about it.

The Story is Wild

Much like the story of Val Valiant Thor, Eshed’s claim is about as wild as they come, and if it’s true, would be a world-changing piece of information. Not only would it indicate our own technology is far beyond what the general population knows, it would also mean that the world has been in the dark about government’s dealing with extraterrestrials for decades.

The allegation includes that the United States government is actively working with an alien race that belongs to a ‘Galactic Federation’ and that the extraterrestrials have asked the world’s governments not to disclose their existence until humanity is ready.

He also stated that President Trump knew of the intra-species agreements and had planned on announcing this information to the world, but held back for fear of causing panic among the people.

Haim Eshed doesn’t appear to have offered up any evidence to support his story, though this seems to be expected as such evidence would be closely guarded if it did exist.

The Claimant, Haim Eshed

When looking at any story like this, consideration must be given to who is making the claim.

Haim Eshed is a retired brigadier general in the Israel Defense Force. He is highly decorated and won many awards and accolades for his work. He is highly respected.

In addition to his impressive professional history, Eshed is highly educated with multiple degrees.

While none of these attributes exempt him from possibly being a liar, it’s difficult to believe that someone with his background would do such a thing.

The bottom line is, there aren’t many examples of more credible people in the world of Ufology.

So is the Story True?

It’s impossible to say for sure whether Haim Eshed is telling the truth or whether he’s off his rocker. It doesn’t seem to make sense that he’d be willing to throw away his credibility that was built over decades so I’m willing to accept that he at least believes these things to be true himself.

But that belief doesn’t constitute proof.

Like most claims I write about, I’d love for this to be true… but I’m skeptical, and I’m hardly alone in that sentiment. Perhaps in his old age, Eshed has become delusional or maybe after being retired for so long he is desperate to be back in the public eye. Eshed is currently promoting a book about UFOs so he definitely has a financial incentive to stir up some noise in this arena and maybe even hit the UFO convention circuit for even more financial gain. To be clear, I’m not saying this is the case, but these are common possibilities we must keep in mind when examining these types of claims.

Even with a highly credible claimant or witness, having separate and independent evidence can really take things to another level. Perhaps, soon, someone else in a similar position will come forward to vouch for Eshed’s story and really blow the entire thing wide open.

Until then, the UFO community will be waiting.
